Recipe
- 10 Mini slider buns, split
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh sage
- 1/2 cup finely chopped red pepper
- 1/4 cup grated sweet onion
- 1/4 cup grated manchengo cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Mix together well, the turkey and remaining ingredients. Form into 10 mini slider patties. Cook the patties on a hot grill or grill-pan for 3 minutes on each side. Serve topped with cactus-onion marmalade and baby spinach or arugula.
Cactus-Onion Marmalade
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon avocado or vegetable oil
- 1 (5 ounce) jar Cheri’s Desert Harvest Cactus Marmalade
In a frying pan, cook the onion in the oil until wilted and beginning to lightly brown. Stir in the Cactus Marmalade.
